What a lesson looks like
Lessons are built around problems, not lectures.
Warm up
A few minutes on a problem from last week, to check that the idea stuck.New idea
The tutor introduces one concept with an example, then hands over the pen.Hard problem
Your child works a problem just past their comfort zone, with hints instead of answers.Practice plan
A short set of problems for the week, sized so it actually gets done.
What we teach
Plans combine school courses with enrichment. Most students work on both.

Curriculum designed by a PhD statistician
A university professor with a PhD in statistics sets the course sequences, writes the placement assessments, and reviews learning plans, so each step builds on the last.
Lessons led by university math majors
Tutors are undergraduate mathematics majors trained on our curriculum. They have taken these courses themselves and know which explanations make each idea click.
Tutoring questions
How long is each lesson?
Most students meet once a week. We will suggest a length and schedule on the first call, based on your child’s age and goals.
What do we need for online lessons?
A laptop or tablet with a camera and a quiet spot. A stylus or a phone camera for showing written work helps but is not required.
Can you work with my child’s school curriculum?
Yes. Send us the course name and textbook, and the tutor will keep school units on track while working ahead.
What does it cost?
We will go over options and pricing on the free call, once we know what your child needs.
